Today, we are happy to present an exciting new partnership with the leading standards-aligned K-12 open educational resource library, OpenEd.
Chalkable has added OpenEd’s best educational resources to Study Center in an effort to provide schools with an enormous amount of prescriptive content to add to lesson plans, homework, quizzes, and more based on state standards.
To prove just how excited we are about this match-up, we collaborated to bring educators an infographic demonstrating the importance of gamification and video in the classroom.
- 80% of learners say that they would be more productive if their work was more game-like
- 97% of kids play computer and video games, making gamification a smart way to keep students engaged in the classroom
- 70% of teachers said they saw an increase in student engagement when using educational video games.
While some may be hesitant to bring more distractions into the classroom, the numbers above make it hard to argue that videos and games may just be the answer to better student engagement.
Therefore, our infographic lists OpenEd’s top games and videos that can be found in Chalkable’s Study Center to effortlessly integrate technology into the classroom, to boost student engagement, and to find a creative way to align to the standards.
